About us:

We’re Talking Mental Health, a company dedicated to changing the conversation about mental health.


Founded in 2020, we began as a social discussion website for people to share their mental health experiences with others. Our intent was, and still is, to help people realise they are not alone and to encourage people to seek help when needed.


A sense of community is at the core of our business, providing the driving force we need to get people talking about mental health. Our social media accounts are primary channels through which we communicate with our community, sharing anything from personal mental health stories to news coverage of the latest developments in the mental health world.


Our goal as a business is to become a primary source of all things mental health-related and, as such, we are looking to build a social media presence that is recognisable as a leading voice in mental health.


The role:

Instagram engagement officer

Purpose of the job:

To operate as the sole point of contact for the Talking Mental Health Instagram account to improve engagement with our audience and expand our reach

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with like-minded accounts and content, liking and commenting on posts, stories and reels where applicable

  • Increasing impressions, interactions and follower counts on the Talking Mental Health Instagram account

About you:

Essential:

  • A passion for mental health and making a difference in the way we talk about it

  • A passion for social media platforms and a sound understanding of how they work

  • A solid grasp of the English language and grammar

Desirable:

  • Experience in using Twitter

  • Confidence in engaging with other accounts and taking part in conversations on a social media platform

  • Experience in building social media presences, preferably for Instagram

Please note, this role is voluntary. We are currently in the stages of monetising our business.
