The Fostering Network, a charity that represents foster carers, concluded in a report that the government is failing to provide adequate care for children in foster care leading to a “mental health crisis.”
The report stated that half of all foster carers care for a child with a mental health illness such as depression, anxiety, an eating disorder or an attachment disorder.
